CD Projekt Red has officially announced the final release date for their upcoming open-world title The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, confirming that the action RPG will be hitting shelves both retail and digital come February 24th, 2015.

The Witcher 3 will arrive in quite a number of editions, with your typical stylings of standard and collector's editions though this time it seems the standard edition is rather full of goodies. A collector's edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will come in deluxe packaging and pack-in more physical goods, including a 10-inch polystone statue of protagonist Geralt and other collectible items, like a medallion, 200-page art book and SteelBook case. Find the screenshots below detailing the edition in detail, or pre-order it from EB Games now for a lovely price of $199.95 for PC, or $219.95 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

A digital, DRM-free release of The Witcher 3 will include a digital art book, bonus videos and a detailed map of the game's world. An exclusive digital version, released through GOG.com, will give buyers an extended game soundtrack, wallpapers, artwork, a digital comic, two beta keys for the upcoming The Witcher: Adventure Game and a free copy of role-playing game Neverwinter Nights.

Publisher GOG.com has also announced a rather handy loyalty bonus for fans who pre-order. Players who own a copy of previous Witcher games will be given an extra 5 percent off the game's pre-order price, for each title owned. Check out the collector's edition trailer below for a better look at all the rather exciting goodies you'll get.

That wasn't all developer CD Projekt RED announced today, with a brand-new gameplay trailer also making its debut at the Witcher 3 live event ahead of E3 2014. Titled "The Sword of Destiny," the trailer takes a look at the vast landscapes that Geralt of Rivia roams, while also setting up one of his most dangerous quests yet. Check it out in action below, and be prepared to lift your jaw off from the ground as its a doozey. You'll also note the wonderful voice acting of Charles Dance, who plays Tywin Lannister in The Game of Thrones TV show.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be launching February 24th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Oh hells yes! Really looking forward to this. Second to Batman.

What is with publishers release their "E3" trailer before E3 has even started...? Why not release them at E3 or while E3 is going. Marketing for games and movies seems to be becoming increasingly retarded.
