The latest console patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and the equally awesome expansions, brings a few Xbox One X enhancements to the title. Firstly in the form of a 60fps 1080p mode dubbed 'performance' and secondly a 4K 30fps visual mode that also introduces improved visual effects and texture detail.

As one of the great RPGs of all time, this is great news for Xbox fans - plus a great excuse to fire it up and experience the game all over again.

In 4K Mode the game will run in 4K resolution (or supersampled on a non-4K display) with stable 30fps gameplay, whereas Performance Mode enables dynamic resolution scaling (from 1080p up to 4K) while targeting 60 fps during gameplay. Both modes support HDR.

An additional HDr specific patch is also coming for PS4 Pro users soon.
