After spending a few hours with The Technomancer it's clear that its influences lie firmly in the realm of BioWare's classic Kotor series, with a dash or two of Japanese action-RPGs like Final Fantasy or Star Ocean. Heck, there's even a hint of The Witcher in there too, but through the lens of a B-release from a much smaller development studio. With the digital release for The Technomancer happening tonight, we now have the pretty cool launch trailer for this new sci-fi action-RPG for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Spotty execution aside, The Technomancer is a game with big ideas and a fun and varied combat system. One of the cool touches in the game is the almost fighting game style combat system that's split into three different and distinct styles. It's also a sci-fi game set on Mars, many years after humans colonised the planet. Which should be enough to pique your interest.

We've been advised that the physical release has been delayed a few weeks due to an issue, so if you're keen to check this out be sure to grab the digital version.
