Thanks to a new interview with The Asahi Shimbun, Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima casually dropped a few hints about Nintendo's next console-thing, the NX. And when we say hints, we mean cryptic clues worthy of a Sherlock Holmes type to try and figure out. Stuff like "The NX is neither the successor to the Wii U or to the 3DS." Okay, sure. What else?
Well, not much other than, "It’s something very new. The hardware, the software lineup, all of it is something I’d like to play for the first time myself." So yeah, that doesn't really tell us much, but as we're talking about Nintendo the NX will probably be the complete opposite of anything you could imagine.
As the console, or whatever, is due for release March 2017 Nintendo has stated in recent weeks that it's working hard to ensure that it features an extensive launch line-up of titles. Including the new Legend of Zelda which will be at E3, albeit on the Wii U. Exactly what format Nintendo NX games will arrive on or how they will be experienced, is anyone's guess.
