Created by RwanLink, this look at the N64 classic The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time isn't so much a fan remake project as it is a look at what Zelda 64 by the way of Unreal Engine 5 could look like. Using new Unreal Engine technologies like advanced global illumination and Nanite rendering, this re-creation of Kakariko village is basically movie quality.
And it looks stunning.
"As a fan who grew up with the legendary Zelda Ocarina of Time, I always wanted to see what the environments could look like," writes RwanLink. "With today's technologies such as 4K resolution and DLSS but also the new features of Unreal Engine 5 like the real time global illumination Lumen and the powerful Nanite allowing me to work with film quality assets. The first episode of this series is dedicated to Kakariko village where I wanted to recreate and show my vision of the village with a next gen look and feel."
As per above there looks to be more on the way -- and we can't wait to see them.
