Among the details shared in the Nintendo Direct live-streamed presentation last night were release windows for both of the upcoming The Legend of Zelda games. The Wii U revamp of the Gamecube title The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD has been pegged for an October 4th 2013 launch, and the release window for the Nintendo 3DS follow up to the SNES-era classic The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past has reportedly been narrowed down to November 2013 (thanks VG247).
New gameplay footage was also shown from both games during the Nintendo Direct broadcast. You can watch the presentation in it's entirety here on Nintendo's Youtube channel, or check out the embeds below for the relevant clips, captured by GamesHQMedia.
As much as I love the idea of a HD remake of Wind Waker my favorite Zelda, these changes to the graphics aren't working for me. The overworld bloom is out of control, hurts to look and feels amateur.
There were one or two shots in there that looked a bit too bloomy, but overall, it's looking awesome. Sounds like they're fixing the stupid Triforce fetch quest at the end too, which is great news.
And holy f***, A Link Between Worlds looks more amazing every time I see it. I played it at PAX and was amazed at how nicely it played. The new magic meter is great too. I'm supremely pumped for this game.

On a side note, is that Ambient Occlusion I see?
