With the Tokyo Game Show 2013 now well behind us, Bethesda has unveiled a new extended gameplay trailer for The Evil Within, the forthcoming survival horror game from Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami's Japanese studio, Tango Gameworks.

Detective Sebastien Castellanos and his partners are called in to investigate a gruesome mass murder. After witnessing a mysterious force slaughter his fellow officers, Sebastian is ambushed and knocked unconscious. When the video opens, he finds his world has been turned upside down. Facing unimaginable terror and fighting for survival in a world where hideous creatures wander among the dead, Sebastian embarks on a frightening journey to unravel who or what is behind this unimaginable evil.
Clocking in at under 12 minutes of pure horror gameplay, the trailer shows off enough to get your skin crawling and eager for more. Check out the extended trailer below.

Having it in 3rd person breaks all the immersion of it being horror..plus weapons ugh. I think I will stick with Outlast for true horror and wait for dlc's
