Bethesda has revealed today that anyone who pre-orders The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, regardless of platform, will receive a "premium quality world map" as free bonus.
As Todd Howard said all the way back in a Morrowind blog post, “There’s something about having a physical object in your hands that feels like it’s part of this other world, that you are that person in the game, finding your way among the hills.”
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is due for a worldwide release on the 11th of November on all three major platforms. If you've been living under a rock, you might have missed our recent interview with Bethesda's Todd Howard, or our primer preview outlining everything we know about the game so far.

November honestly can't come quick enough. Click the image to the right for a better look at the map pre-order bonus.

That's an average looking world map, the Witcher 2's one is way better, especially when you print it out at A3 size on premium quality photo paper. *cough*

Apparantly bethesda have stated that

the map is a high-grade material that has a feel similar to burlap, and will be available in North America and Europe. There will be a regular paper map included in all copies of the game, but if you want to get the premium map, we recommend pre-ordering the game

I was planning on pre-ordering this anyway so score for a free cloth map!

Nearly every time Europe gets a special type of collector's edition we get one here too, and I doubt Steve would post info like this is we weren't going to get it.

I remember the days of cloth maps, they were awesome. I still have an Ultima Cloth map of Britannia somewhere.
