Some of the best moments from Elder Scrolls games have come from joining the Dark Brotherhood and taking part in quest-lines that feature more than their fair share of murder. And usually in a darkly funny fashion, like the quest in Oblivion where you attend a dinner party and then murder all the guests one by one as they scramble to try and figure out who done it. Funny stuff. Which is why its great to hear that the next bit of DLC coming to The Elder Scrolls online will feature the Dark Brotherhood, a game that's in dire need of some pitch black humour.

And it looks like the update will introduce a new area to explore and the return of some classic locations.

• Join the Dark Brotherhood and become an assassin for hire
  
• Visit the Gold Coast, available to characters of all levels, where you can explore Anvil and Kvatch for the first time since The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
  
• Hours of exciting story content and quests that will have you revisiting your favorite areas of Tamriel
  
• New, repeatable quest content involving Contracts and the Black Sacrament
  
• Challenging new group bosses and delves to conquer
  
• A new passive skill line exclusive to members of the Dark Brotherhood
  
• Unique costumes, motifs and item sets inspired by the deadly Dark Brotherhood

No word on when the expansion will drop but as the game has been receiving updates of this nature every few months or so we're assuming it won't be too far away.
