Which explains the 40GB update The Elder Scrolls Online was downloading the other day on our Xbox One X. New expansion time! After recent adventures into Morrowind and Summerset, Elsewyr has players heading out to the home of talking cats (i.e. Khajiit) to face a new Imperial and dragon threat.

With the following launch trailer showcasing just that, in addition to highlighting Elsewyr as more than a collection of deserts and mountains.



In addition to the new lengthy quest and location to explore, Elsewyr also sees the introduction of a new class - the Necromancer. Which will allow players to "command the dead and cast powerful spells to overcome their foes and bolster defenses".

With The Elder Scrolls Online getting these annual expansions, this time around the new Season of the Dragon will intorduce a year-long interconnected story with new adventures released periodically.
