Hey remember back at E3 last year when Bethesda announced that a competitive card game set in the Elder Scrolls universe was in development? Yeah, well we kind of forgot about it too. Mainly because nothing tangible was shown at the time. But now, as The Elder Scrolls: Legends goes into closed beta we have a new trailer that gives us a look at how it all works. One that will no doubt be familiar to Hearthstone players.

Aside aside from the fairly obvious similarities there looks to be a few key differences. In Elder Scrolls: Legends you can train your cards to increase their power, the arena board itself is divided into lanes, and each hero is protected by runes. Runes that when broken after taking five points in damage, will draw a new card.

Plus, it's all set in the Elder Scrolls univers,e so expect to see more than a few references to Daedric Lords.

The Elder Scrolls: Legends is due for release on PC and iPad.
