Released a year ago, The Division 2 from Ubisoft and Massive has already seen a steady stream of updates in the form of raids, events, and new missions and locations. It's also set to get it's biggest expansion to date with a return to the huge open-world New York setting of the first game with the release of Warlords of New York next month. Which, will also change-up the endgame in a big way.

With the introduction of three-month Seasons and a new Manhunt event that will see players hunt down new major targets by taking down four lieutenants first. These Seasons will introduce Leagues where players can earn rewards for completing challenges in addition to taking part in Global Events that add modifiers to the entire game. Rewards are on the table for that too. The new system will feature Season Levels to progress through to earn new gear and cosmetics, as part of a free Battle Pass-style system.

Here's an extended look at gameplay from the new expansion that includes a look at how Seasons will work.

Ubisoft notes that a premium version of the Battle Pass will be available, featuring its own set of rewards. Seasons are set to arrive in The Division 2 a week after Warlords of New York drops on March 3 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
