Ubisoft's AAA line-up includes The Division 2, an "unannounced franchise title", and The Crew 2. This revelation comes as part of a recent Ubisoft financial report that includes information that the publisher has three AAA titles on board for 2018-2019. As part of the announcement, we also get word that the highly anticipated Skull & Bones has been pushed back to 2019-2020.
Which is a shame because the idea of a pirate game from the team behind the excellent sailing found in Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag has us more than excited. Even with the delay we hope that we get to see more on the title soon.
With E3 right around the corner, and The Crew 2 launching the same month, we can probably expect to see Ubisoft focus on both The Division 2 and the "unannounced franchise title". Which, many are expecting to be the next installment in the long-dormant Splinter Cell series - with iconic character Sam Fisher making a return. The recent
Splinter Cell Event in Ghost Recon Wildlands lends quite a bit of weight to the speculation.
The financial earnings report, which can be
found here, also notes that Far Cry 5 was Ubisoft's second biggest release ever with USD $310 million spent by players during the launch week.
