That windows being Summer 2020, or Winter 2020 for us in ANZ. The next installment in The Dark Pictures Anthology from Supermassive Games sets its sights on a small town and the period of the Salem Witch trials in The Dark Pictures: Little Hope. This stand-alone installment in the horror anthology series will once again offer players the chance to experience the story solo or as a group in Movie Night - where everyone gets their own character and makes their own decisions.

Which was a feature we really enjoyed when playing The Dark Pictures Anthology - Man Of Medan. Where we wrote, "This mode is engaging and highlights the commendable effort put into the various pathways and multiple endings, several of which include some or most of the cast dying gruesome deaths. To quote Ted Theodore Logan, most heinously."

So, without further ado - here's the full trailer for The Dark Pictures: Little Hope.

In Little Hope, abandoned and all alone, four college students and their professor are trapped by a mysterious fog in the isolated eponym town. They search desperately for a means of escape whilst visions from the town’s occult-steeped past haunt them from the shadows. In order to stay alive, they must uncover the mysteries behind these relentlessly-pursuing dark apparitions before evil forces drag each of their souls to hell!

Little Hope introduces five new protagonists, including one played by Will Poulter, as seen in The Maze Runner and the interactive Black Mirror episode 'Bandersnatch'. The story will once again feature multiple paths and endings, with who survives being a case of the decisions you make and how you react.

“We’re really excited to talk more about Little Hopem" said Pete Samuels, CEO Supermassive Games. "As the second chapter in The Dark Pictures Anthology, Little Hope is an all new and disturbing story for players to experience. Whether they are playing alone or with friends we can’t wait for players to get their hands on the Little Hope this summer."

The Dark Pictures: Little Hope is set to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (via digital).
