With Tooth and Tail, an RTS designed specifically for a controllers, coming September 12. And Matterfall, the new game from Resogun developers Housemarque, launching August 15. Both titles have been given new official looks to, with a cinematic trailer debut for Tooth and Tail, and a gameplay demo of Matterfall taken from the E3 show floor.

First up, Tooth and Tail looks utterly charming, featuring some great retro-stylised visuals and impressive animation. Based on the footage alone we wouldn't have necessarily pegged this as an RTS. The game has been in development for quite sometime now too, with the multiplayer side of things being in alpha for about three years now. Which means, it should be a solid experience right?

No doubt Tooth and Tail looks impressive.

Matterfall may look like another twin stick shooter, and really, it could end up just being a very good one. But underneath the simple mechanics there's a lot happening on screen, which is probably why the following demo was captured using a PlaySation 4 Pro system. Pretty to look at, the sci-fi Matterfall also features mechanics based around high scores, so expect a focus on clearing levels in style. On top of simply trying to survive.
