As Los Angeles-based indie developer Thatgamecompany approaches the launch of their third game and PlayStation 3 exclusive, Journey, the Flower and Fl0w creator has spoken of a desire to branch out beyond their well-tracked Sony confines.

In an interview with Push Square (via: Shacknews), TGC Creative Director Jenova Chen explained that "thatgamecompany had a three game contract with Sony, so the past three games had to be Sony exclusive". "Right now we are very much exploring ways to bring our games to a bigger audience, beyond just PlayStation" he added. "We are still in the process of negotiating, but I hope that we can announce it [soon]. But right now it's still in the process".

Journey is due to hit the PSN for PlayStation 3 on March 15th 2012 and as the developer has been getting more and more ambitious with each iteration, we can't wait to see what they might conjure up should they spread the love to more platforms in the future.
