In the whole headline there, the biggest fear we have is Koei Tecmo. The long-running Japanese developer/publisher has a history of churning out unpolished games, including their for-some-reason-still-popular Dynasty Warriors series, but this new Attack on Titan title they've revealed looks like the real deal.

With plenty of sore reports on the live-action flick, there's also plenty of reason to be concerned. The smash anime series has enjoyed a huge amount of success leading to plenty of licensing deals, and in the games department some of these have been okay, but they've only been on handheld devices.

Koei Tecmo's newest adaptation though will see the game heading to PS4, although this also includes PS3 and Vita, which again has us a little apprehensive. That trailer though, phew, it's definitely looking like the source material.

Watch it embedded below. Have you seen the series yet? How do you think games should approach the series moving forward?

Yeah I have watched the series and I don't get why it is so popular.
It is one seriously whingy anime. Hardly a line is uttered in the series which isn't screamed or yelled in a super annoying tone. Odd show.

Also if I was going to watch an a new adult style anime, Knights of Sidonia is heaps more enjoyable. Less stupid yelling, and the pacing is probably as slow as AoT

Is it not cool to like Attack on Titan anymore cos it's popular? I've seen a few posts and articles and stuff around the place s***ting on it now, but it just seems a bit like tall poppy syndrome. 12 months ago those same people and places were gushing about it and proclaiming it a must-watch. I've just started watching it on Netflix, about 8 episodes in. I don't really watch much anime and I almost didn't bother watching it cos there's no English version and I have to read subtitles (yes I know this makes me even MORE uncool), but so far I'm really enjoying it.

I thought the series was quite good, you can watch the entire series on you tube, the quality of voice over varies a lot depending on the host.

I'd really like to see a "Big lez show" game that would be f***** sweet.

Is it not cool to not like something that is popular and other people like?
Maybe the show started with a bang, then had nothing else to offer so people didn't enjoy it as it went on.
