After our recent hands-on with Super Mario Odyssey we were impressed with just how much it reminded us of Super Mario 64. And not in the sense of it being a copy, but in the sheer number of ideas and fun new ways it expanded on the concept of the 3D Platformer. Plus, it featured the same solid controls. Out later this month, Nintendo's latest video details what you can expect.

From using Cappy to take control of both classic Mario creatures and new stuff like a Yellow Cab, to the framework of collecting Power Moons, and even all the hidden secrets and mini-games to find, this is our best look at the game yet.

The video also highlights the co-op modes and the newly added for a Mario game Assist Mode, where 'where to go next' arrow appears on the environment for those with little or no 3D Mario experience.

We can't wait to get our hands on the full game once it's out October 27 for Nintendo Switch.
