Building on the foundation on the Wii U original, giving players the chance to create their own 2D and 2.5D Super Mario levels - now with the power of slopes. Which is one of the new features highlighted in the trailer. Personally, we love how it nails the look of the various 2D Super Mario games and how you can remix characters and art from different eras.

Plus, no doubt, create some super-challenging levels.


In this new game, a sequel to the original Wii U game, players can create the Super Mario courses of their dreams, with access to even more tools, items and features, including the new ability to create slopes for the first time. Super Mario Maker 2 launches exclusively for Nintendo Switch this June.

Here's hoping, with the arrival of Nintendo Switch Online - the community features of this sequel expand on the original's.
