And a few PC upgrades to boot. We take the new
SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ for a spin (in matching PS5 white) to get the most out Sony's 3D Tempest Audio, whilst also taking advantage of the award winning Arctis sound on PC.
A snippet.
The SteelSeries Arctis 7P+, which is the latest edition in the Arctis 7 line-up from SteelSeries, fits perfectly into this mould. The ‘P’ in the naming refers to its PlayStation 5 friendly USB-C design. That and it comes in a sleek white look (black is also available) with some PlayStation-blue under the headband for that match made in heaven feel. The underlying audio hardware of the Arctis 7 range that has won many a fan and critic award remains untouched, so this is essentially a premium wireless audio solution for those wanting an impressive in-ear PS5 audio experience.
And with Sony creating its own virtual surround solution with 3D Tempest Audio, it’s answer to Dolby Atmos, built specifically for the PS5 generation; there’s a lot to be impressed with. 3D Tempest Audio is the usual virtual surround positional audio stuff, but it puts an emphasis on both distance and height. It’s a great PS5 feature, and even though it’s something that works on all headsets connected to the console, it’s wonderful when paired with cans that are a cut above. Which is a roundabout way of describing the SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ in general.
