Eurogamer reports that Alan Wake fans
have found an "Alan Wake" entry in the Steam registry, sparking a massive gasp of hope from PC enthusiasts hoping the original game's Xbox 360 exclusivity could be at an end.
This hope is further fueled by recent comments made to Finnish gaming site,
JustPushStart, by Remedy's Aki Järvilehto, stating that they [Remedy] "received feedback from a lot of PC gamers" about its lack of a debut on the PC and that they "somehow ignored that".
"Let's see if in the near future we could have some positive news to tell you about dating!" he added. (We assume "dating" means release date.)
Now would be a good time for the emergance of Mr Wake on the PC platform, with the Spike TV VGAs' debut trailer for
Alan Wake American Nightmare rekindling interest in the franchise. Remedy has also been
actively talking up their next project which may or may not be the official next installment in the series, where they will utilise animation technology for facial features they believe are far and away better than those we saw in L.A. Noire.
We'll give you more details as they become clear from within the walls at Remedy, so stay tuned.
