Blizzard has shot through word the StarCraft II World Championship Series for Australia National and Oceania will be heading to Sydney's
Australian Technology Park next month for some local eSports flavouring.
Teaming up with the Australian Cyber League, Blizzard tells us the event will see the top 18 ANZ players duking it out in what will be the largest eSports event Blizzard has ever hosted on Aussie shores, with a combined prize purse of USD$25,000. On top of this, the likes of HD, PainUser and GSL legends Artosis and Tasteless, alongside our very own Maynarde, will be on-hand to cast the event in their usual awesome fashion.
Saturday kicks off the completion of the Australia Nationals which will crown this year’s best Australian StarCraft II players. Their chance to celebrate will be short lived though as the top six Australian players will clash with the top two New Zealand players in the Oceania Finals on Sunday. The two finalists coming out of the event will then go on to represent the region in the Battle.net World Championship in China later this year.
Entry is free, so make sure you head down to the event and support the local eSports scene. More info can be gleamed by

If my best mate wasn't getting married in Brissy at the same time, I'd be there in a heart beat.

I'm going to be on site and can't make it.
Incidentally is there going to be any QLD barcraft events on the horizon?
