Kicking off launch festivities for the upcoming StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm, Blizzard has released a new cinematic trailer. Titled "Vengeance", the two minute clip is as worth watching as every other CG video that rolls out of the beloved developer, so don't delay, and hit play below.
Sarah Kerrigan embarks on a path of great vengeance and furious anger. While pursuing her revenge, the Queen of Blades also seeks to reclaim her living empire.
A countdown to the global launch, zeroing in under two weeks, and details on the many live regional events (including Melbourne, Australia), can be found at StarCraft2.com/SwarmLaunch.
StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm launches on March 12, 2013.
Quick question about the game before I try and buy it, I know the game is regional lock so what are our options do we get option of US and SEA or just SEA???
If it's anything like Wings of Liberty, you can choose your region (this was added in a post-launch patch). But your characters, friends lists, achievements, etc. are unique to that region.
This annoys the s*** out of me, because I can't see SEA friends on Battle.net. Works fine with WoW and D3, but no dice with SC2.
Didn't Blizzard say that the HOTS xpac will allow players to just one region?
SEA is dead in the water, I switched to NA long time ago.
Can't wait for this Xpac going to be awesome I'll assume Kerrigan intentionally turns back to Queen of Blades to take her revenge on Mensk, does this mean Raynor has Zergling babies??
I want to read Flashpoint looks like a good book, apparently ties in the events between Kerrigan and Raynor from WOL to HOTS.

No, they said the license will be valid for all regions (except China), and that you will be able to change region in the client.
As Creepy said, this functionality has already been added to the SC2 client, but it is hidden, presumably till HotS is released (it can be unhidden with a little XML file hack, though).
To be clear, there aren't different clients/functionality for WoL and HotS, there is one client for everything and buying HotS just gives you all the extra content.

There was more buzz and coverage over the release of this video vs the actual proper opening cinematic. Just weird.
Still looks a blast though. It's like reading the next book in a series, or film in a saga.
