Headed to PCs and consoles October 6, with those that pre-order the game getting access on October 4. The Open Beta which will be available to play on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (via Origin) will include the Battle for Naboo stuff seen in the multiplayer reveal -- plus a Starfighter Assault battle.

A new mode that is expected to be given the full reveal at Gamescom late next month. Based on the limited spaceship stuff seen during the launch of the first game, we're excited to see how this mode in particular plays out.

As for Naboo, getting to blast Clone Troopers on Jar Jar's home world sounds like fun. But, compared to the Battle of Hoth debut of the first game it's a different kind of Star Wars. Prequel Star Wars.

Star Wars Battlefront II has a release date of November 17.
