That is a dark and moody trip into the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, the setting for GSC GameWorld's highly anticipated S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 -- which is currently in development for PC and Xbox Series X and S with a planned 2021 release window. This new gameplay teaser was created "in engine", meaning it's not exactly in-game footage but indicative of what we can expect.
With the development team noting that this gameplay teaser is "what the game really feels lik", "a dizzying change of scenery, sinister landscapes, and the ever-present sense of unavoidable danger, accompanied by a barely distinguishable guitar soundtrack".
Check it out.
Now as to whether or not this is released this year remains to be seen, after all we first heard (irradiated) wind of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 almost a decade ago. Plus, "in-engine" is still a far cry from in-game. But, with Microsoft including it as part of a Xbox Series X next-gen showcase, confirming it supports 4K and real-time ray-tracing (and that it's headed to Xbox Game Pass) odds are we'll be seeing more of this throughout the year.
