Today marks the launch of not only one of Nintendo's biggest Switch releases for 2017 but also its first foray into straight-up online shooting for the handheld console -- with the release of Splatoon 2. Although visually similar to the Wii U original Splatoon 2 is very much a proper sequel with brand new single-player content, a horde-like mode, and refined and fine-tunes ink-based multiplayer.

With the servers for online only really going online yesterday, alongside the launch of Nintendo's smart phone app for social interaction, we'll be bring you our thoughts on the game next week.
