Overnight Sony took the scenic location of Paris and transformed it into a game trailer and PlayStation extravaganza, showcasing new looks, announcements, and updates on the latest titles coming to PlayStation 4. From hotly anticipated released like The Last of Us Part II and Spider-Man to new and imprerssive indie titles like Concrete Genies. Plus, plenty of VR stuff too.

First up though, a look at Ghost of Tsushima from Sony developer Sucker Punch, the studio behind the Infamous series. Set in the year 1274, Ghost of Tsushima focusses on the exploits of Samurai warriors defending Japan. As we've come to expect with the production values seen across just about every high-profile PlayStation 4 exclusive, this also looks great with incredible character and environment detail. Not much is shown in terms of gameplay, but hey a Samurai action game from a seasoned development studio is never a bad idea.



The latest story trailer for Insomniac's Marvel's Spider-Man game will no doubt please fans. It cements the game's cinematic aspirations and really looks to be on par with the best of Marvel films.



Switching things up, but in keeping with the cinemmatic theme is the indie The Hong Kong Massacre which is a stylised top down action game with an aesthetic that screams classic Hong Kong action film rented from a video store circa the mid-1990s.



Concrete Genie is the sort of game that will no doubt turn a few heads. The premise is simple but unusual for a game. You take on the role of a bullied teenager who escapes his troubles by painting living landscapes. The large than life paintings look incredible and the overall art style has a classically animated feel that make this one to look out for.



Okay, back to the big titles. And there aren't many bigger than Capcom's upcoming Monster Hunter World. Well, according to fans of the series that is. If you've played a game in the series before then this new trailer will no doubt make your day.



Detroit Become Human from David Cage is more interactive movie with mutliple branching paths and storylines than, err, game. But there's something about making robot servants in the near future sympathetic that we can't get enough of. Also this new look showcases a rather brutal and intense situation.



Speaking of brutal and intense, here's that The Last of Us Part II trailer again.



With a release window of early 2018, God of War is in the home stretch of development. And it's shaping up to be one of the contenders for game of the year. Even though we're still trying to sort that one out for this year.



Finally we'll leave you with the following PlayStation VR sizzle trailer, because Sony is showing no signs of slowing down when it comes to supporting its VR solution with great new titles. Many of which will be exclusive to the platform.
