Which is all a good sign that the delays are done and that another PlayStation 4 exclusive lands with us this year. In April, in fact, and overnight Sony unveiled both a 'Special' and 'Collector's' edition of the game, all rich with content.
On top of those revelations, Bend Studio, the developer behind Days Gone dropped the first in a three-part series of videos to highlight parts of the game. Today's video reveals that it takes place across six sprawling regions, all different and featuring zombies (freakers in the game), enemy humans and friendly humans, as well as wildlife and the decaying remnants of a once freakerless civilisation.
Travelling through the deadly abandoned highways, players will pass thick forests filled with wolves as well as venture into natural formed lava tube caves filled with Freakers. Farewell Wilderness is a unique landscape that is as beautiful as it is dangerous.
As for the Special and Collector's editions of the game, Sony also dropped a video highlighting this, which you can watch after the Bend Studio video we've embedded below.
Head over to your favourite retailer and pre-order the game now. At launch you’ll receive a voucher to unlock the Drifter Crossbow and upgrades for your drifter bike’s Nitrous, Gas Tank, and Shroud early in the game which will help you survive as you ride the broken road.
