This is a tricky one to explain in just a few words (thank goodness for the moving image, eh?!), but our best attempt is that Solar Ash from Hyper Light Drifter developer, Heart Machine, and publisher Annapurna Interactive is a hyper-stylised action-platformer where traversal takes centre stage amidst a stunning, neon-powered playspace that looks and feels like synthwaves visualised.

Maybe we'll just let the publisher byline explain it better:
From the creators of the award winning 2016 game Hyper Light Drifter, Solar Ash is a 3D third-person action platformer filled with sunken cities, vast water shelves, dangerous lava zones and more. Players take on the role of a Voidrunner named Rei who nimbly traverses through these dangerous biomes. Journey through a surreal, vivid, and highly stylized world filled with mystery, wild high-speed traversal, endearing characters, and massive enemy encounters.
The game is set to land on both PC (via Epic Games Store) and PlayStation December 2.
