Kotaku
is reporting on confirmation that both EB Games and JB Hifi have broken street date a day early for the much anticipated The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Unfortunately for PC users, the Steam release is still on schedule to unlock at midnight tonight 11.11.11 , but if you're keen for some Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 action, no such authentication barriers will stand in the way of your dreams of becoming the dragonborn.
Also, for those interested in staying up late, we'll have our review of the game live at 12:01am(ish), so stay tuned!

Anyone starting to miss being able to walk into a bookstore and browse yet?
Posted 03:33pm 10/11/11
also, there is this cool place called a public library, that never killed book stores, the thing that killed bookstores is bookstores, (over expanded, cut prices, etc) it shoulc be called the starbucks business model

The full amount is something crazy like $100 000 per copy they sell, but they never seem to penalise them that harshly.

By whom?
Instead of telling the publisher to get f***ed on release dates they should tell the publisher to get f***ed on regional pricing and threaten to parallel import.
When some random QGL mulim can make a buck importing games for HALF THE PRICE then its time for the stores to stand up for themselves or die because they are running a fundamentally broken business model.

PC users are consistently getting penalised. I'm still waiting for Batman Arkham City to be released for PC, over a month later!
Damn the console monkeys.

Yeah, retail stores are the real underdogs of the games market, fighting the good fight.

all it says about EB and Game is: "both GAME and EB have announced through their social media channels that the game is now on sale at all stores"
EB and Game have started selling in response to the others, tho the order in which Kotaku say it can mislead u if ur just skimming the info.
might want to adjust the info :)

Going bed then, will wake up with keys hopefully.
Wait a second, apparently they are giving the keys out early according to a forum post
Hi guys,
We are able to see exactly who hasn't received a key yet, and will be making sure you are provided one very soon. There's absolutely no need to worry, it'll show up in your 'Keys' section soon.
All the best
Paul.
