In our review of Skater XL we talked about the console delivery being just too "barebones". On PC the game has a full community supporting it from a mod and content perspective, so it was a hard one to review on the under the telly platforms, but thankfully some of that PC content from its dedicated community is now console-bound.
Most exciting is a community-created version of numerous iconic skateparks, locales and spots from Australia, called Riverfern. And while this isn't a full catalogue of content, it's a carefully-curated slice of things to come, with this drop being the first, which happens on PS4 and Xbox One as well as PC on December 16.
Dive into skateboarding paradise with levels that feature famous skate landmarks and environmental elements, including Downtown LA, the ginormous Big Ramp, Easy Day High, and community created maps like Grant Park, Hudland and Streets. Play as skateboarding pros Tiago Lemos, Evan Smith, Tom Asta, and Brandon Westgate, or customise and create your own skateboarding legend with gear from more than 30 real skate brands. Explore hundreds of mods, maps, digital skate zines, personal highlight replays, and more from the Skater XL community that celebrates this new era of digital skateboarding.
