While the initial launch of Maxis' sim-city building theme park SimCity wasn't the greatest in history of launches, EA and Maxis have today revealed the second expansion pack for SimCity.

Titled 'Cities of the Future', the new expansion will offer players the chance to take their current city landscapes and transform them into future cities of tomorrow.
But what will cities look like 50 years from now? Better yet – how will they be constructed? Do you want to build a beautiful, clean technology-driven city that relies on the knowledge of the all-knowing Academy? Or maybe a city consumed by the gluttony and consumerism of the OmegaCo? Or maybe a little of both? How you decide to transform your tomorrow is all up to you.
Maxis has yet to reveal the full details on what the expansion entails, but the developer has teased coverage on everything from multi-level MegaTowers that will allow you build into the sky to additional sources of power and all-new forms of transportation. Check it out in action below.

Spore was pretty disappointing, if I paid for that it would certainly be a toss up between Spore and Simcity 2013.

lol:

I really really want to play this game, but better judgement is preventing me from doing so....

Besides a horrendous launch what exactly is so bad about this? I heard city size isn't that big but it seems that outside of that most issues seem to be minor?

I think the problem is that SimCity lacks dong monsters and such. You should be able to create a dong monster to terrorize the city.

the major problem is the cities aint big enough and the networking and sharing of resources don't work nicely either. I made city that was making heaps of money had lots of industries and selling s*** loads of stuff however i need people to work there but there was room for houses and when i did it wasnt a nice place to live with all the industry so i made another place that just had residential and a couple of commerical to make everyone happy there was massive unemployment rate even though there plenty of jobs next door. and dont get me started about sharing resources!

then i made space station in the centre works and only 1 of the cities could see while the other 3 couldnt. then about 3 days later 1 city could see it.
