The developers running the Kickstarter pledge drive for the rather progressive MMO Shadowrun Online have a pair of new additions to the project recently, confirming support for both Linux, and the upcoming Android-powered OUYA console.

As the game is planned around the Unity3D engine, the team intend to leverage the upcoming Linux support in version 4.0, and as the game's development was already going to be Android-capable, the team has now reiterated their OUYA ambitions.
“Unity Games will run out of the box on most modern Linux systems, but we are only providing *official* support for 64-bit or 32-bit Ubuntu Linux with vendor-made graphics drivers.“ So once Unity3D 4.0 is available to us, we will go and try to port it. We cannot guarantee that we’ll be able to have the Linux version ready on day 1 (since Unity hasn’t announced the release date yet), but there will be a Linux version as soon as we can make the transition.
Additionally, developer Cliffhanger has also released another new trailer, explaining some of the planned gameplay features and demonstration more early concept gameplay.

The Kickstarter effort for Shadowrun Online is currently still a little short of half-way from it's US$500,000 goal with 11 days left to go. Check out the video below, or head over to the Kickstarter page for more details.

I was excited until i saw the gameplay :(

Not my deal, but i hope that those who like it go for it. Anything to promote an open platform will only give back to the community. And by open platform, i mean google android, and i use the word open liberally, i mean not closed like sony's, microsofts or apples.
