With remaster duties being handled by the talented team at Nightdive Studios, we've not got our first look at the efforts thanks to the very first Shadow Man Remastered gameplay trailer. With some of the music from the game (that theme brought back a lot of memories), we get to see a crisper and mroe shadowy Shadow Man than ever before.

As a remaster this retains the look and feel of the 1999-era environments and textures, but cleaner and with better lighting. Work if this will support 4K when it launches - in addition to higher frame-rates than what was possible on the Nintendo 64.

After its original release Shadow Man was then ported to the PlayStation, Dreamcast, and PC. There was even talk of a sequel and potential movie at one point or another. Anyway this is one game we'd love to see get the built from the ground-up remake treatment ala Resident Evil 2. Shadow Man still holds up today, its blend of dark Zelda-like adventuring with horror is something that is well deserving of a fresh coat of paint.

Shadow Man Remastered is due for release sometime in 2021.
