The AusGamers holiday review roll out continues today with a look in at what Croteam have done with their latest Serious Sam offering.
Serious Sam 3: BFE is a new entry in the series running off the team's new tech, and as NachosJustice explains, it's the shiniest Sam yet. But the series has never been known as a graphics pusher, but rather an industry-wide tongue-in-cheek affair that pokes as much fun at itself as the rest of the gaming world; teaching players to run backwards rather than forwards and to never trust a headless, bomb-for-hands screaming madman.

"plr_fFOVOverride=100"
or whatever value you want. Makes a big difference in the feel of the game. It's going to get fixed soon in a patch.
The best way to save your FOV setting is to create a new file named user.cfg in the:
Steam\steamapps\common\serious sam 3\Content\SeriousSam3\Config folder
and put the plr_fFOVOverride = ?? in it.

I never really considered any of the serious sam games to be particularly viable for single player, they've always been about the co-op
