A new three-part campaign is headed to the x-ray filled long-range shooter Sniper Elite 3, tasking players with the mission to save Britain's legendary wartime prime minister Winston Churchill.
Part One: In Shadows is available to download from Steam right now priced $6.99. A console release for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One will follow shortly according to developer Rebellion.
The DLC campaign will take place initially in the dusty outcrops of Egypt, upon moving into various North African environments to ensure Churchill's survival. Initially available as a single-player campaign, co-op support will be added at a later date Rebellion confirmed. The second and third parts will launch later in the year.
SE2 was fun initially, but x-ray sniping novelty can't carry otherwise mediocre gameplay and horrible AI for more than a few hours. Also baffled as to why they'd base the story around protecting an imperialistic (and psychopathic) white supremacist.
I'd rather hunt the prick down and shoot him myself after what he did to the diggers at Gallipoli
Same. You have to give the man kudos for providing so many choice quotes though. My favourite, regarding Ghandi's opposition to colonial rule:
(he) ought to be lain bound hand and foot at the gates of Delhi, and then trampled on by an enormous elephant with the new Viceroy seated on its back.
