Nintendo has let us know that there will be a global Nintendo Switch presentation, streamed from an event live in Tokyo on Friday 13, January 2017 from 3pm AEDT. Not other details regarding the event are available, but we can assume this will be a tell-all about the unit, its launch and the subsequent games we'll see.

We'll be following this information barrage up with hands-on details after we were invited down to a preview event to be held in Melbourne on the same weekend, so the weekend of January 13, 14 and 15 will henceforth be known as January Switch Weekend (TM).

For more details, hit up Nintendo.com.au on the Friday evening of the stream. More Switch details can be found on the official Nintendo Switch website.

Are you getting excited?

People seem to be losing their s*** over this Switch thing, I feel like I'm missing something because the whole thing just seems pretty meh to me. The Wii-U had far more potential to do cool stuff with back when it was first shown off (which they utterly failed to capitalise on, but thats a whole other story), but this just feels like it misses the mark completely.

Anyone else want to stay ignorant to enjoy the console on release? on this inf before it's even released kinda ruins the feeling of getting something new an unknown then exploring it. The same goes for the new Zelda game. After the brief introduction, I'm staying away from as much gameplay videos as possible.

Also i am with Khel, I'm gonna buy this to play the new zelda and pray there's some third party support (probably none).
