As the crowdfunding pledge drive for Satellite Reign, a hopeful spiritual successor to Syndicate, moves into it's final week, the team at Brisbane-based 5 Lives Studios continues to share more and more detailed information about their lofty aspirations for the game.
Recent updates have featured detailed descriptions of proposed player classes: The Hacker, Support, and Soldier, and a blow-by-blow synopsis of a typical mission scenario if played in a sneaky manner.
Most eye-catching however, is the new video posted by the team: an extended cut of the concept gameplay footage seen in the original pitch video. The clip is described as a "previs" gameplay visualisation, and was created in Unity 3D, the versatile third party engine being used for the game. Watch the embed below.
The video may not be entirely representative of the game that ends up being delivered, but at the very least should offer a good idea of the kind of art direction and play style the team is shooting for.
With six days left on the clock, Satellite Reign needs just over GBP£40,000 to lock its initial £350,000 target, so if it sounds like your kind of thing, head over to the Kickstarter page to get on board.
