Ars Technica is reporting that "multiple sources" have revealed to the site that Microsoft are planning on making changes to the current Xbox Live Gold paywall, a change that has been wanted from customers for a long time now.
According to the sources, "Xbox 360 and Xbox One users will soon no longer need a paid subscription to Xbox Live Gold to access Netflix, Hulu, and other streaming media apps," writes
Ars. Of course these rumours are just that, rumours, so take them with a grain of salt as usual.
The website is also reporting that Microsoft may place other services behind the paywall in order to make up for the change, though this was not confirmed by their sources. It is of course unclear whether this could be current services or upcoming content like Xbox's TV series.
Again, take this all with a large spoonful of salt as rumours are never entirely true, but we are sure to hear something more official during their E3 conference on June 9th.
