Okay, so this may not sound like much but a change in the labeling for Halo 5: Guardians might be hinting at a potential PC release for the shooter - the first in over a decade for the Microsoft franchise. Previously labelled 'Only on Xbox One' some new and refreshed box art has changed that to 'Xbox One Console Exclusive' on an Amazon listing.

Which is the same labeling found on Xbox Play Anywhere titles (Xbox One and Windows 10) State of Decay 2 and Sea of Thieves - both released this year. Now, this could very well be just a marketing change to reflect the new branding and 'Console Exclusive' motto - but with rumours circulating for a while now that Microsoft was planning on bringing Halo back to PC, it could point to current plans to do just that. With Halo 5.


The last port for the franchise proper, and that is a full Halo release with campaign was for Halo 2 in 2007 - for Windows Vista. With the recent update to the Halo: Master Chief Collection we'd love to see that and Halo 5 make their way to Windows 10 sometime in the near future.
