The rumour is once again in full swing, with reports claiming that we may see a brand new Xbox One by the end of this year, and at a cheaper price tag. That is, according to a "well-respected source" by veteran reporter Matt Martin at
VG247, who claims that Microsoft had been briefing publishing partners.
The source was not able to confirm whether this new model would be the same rumoured 1TB Xbox One console that was recently spilled on the NeoGAF forums yesterday, nor as to whether it is the same white Xbox One rumoured to be coming out in October. The NeoGAF leaker also mentioned that Microsoft are looking into providing a disc-less console, though that one is a tad harder to believe.
Of course as with the Internet, there can't just be one rumour. Other hints include a Halo 2: Anniversary Edition for Xbox One, and the Halo 5 beta arriving in November, plus a Crackdown 3 being in development. All these are thanks again to the NeoGAF user, who was apparently verified by the forum's admins to be legitimate, though who knows when it comes to the Internet.

I paid $1000 for my PS3 on launch, that was with the Console, +1 extra controller, DVD Remote, Casino Royale Bluray and Motorstorm
$299 now and you get three AAA titles
I paid $349 for my 3DS, Nintendo dropped it to below $300.00 pretty quick but gave those who paid more 20 free NES/GBA games which wasn't so bad.

On the contrary, I believe Microsoft would be able to tell by the number of download sales vs disc played games on there consoles and see that there is a space in the market for a discless console, Infact I was surprised they didn't offer it from the get go as a cheaper option at launch. And while you will always have those few who the consoles would be useless to, there is still a good percentage of gamers who are quite happy to go all digital.

They are one in the same, not two different models.
When Microsoft first announced the Xbox One, they had originally planned extensive digital features and DRM. This disc-less console would be the physical manifestation of that plan.
