Batman: Arkham City was finally made available to the PC gaming public earlier this week after a few delays, and while many of you are likely taking on the many foes that inhabit Arkham City, many of you have been experiencing some serious issues as a result of using DX11.

Rocksteady is aware of the situation, and a title update to address the problem is currently in the works, according to Community Manager, Andy Cataldo.

In the meantime, a workaround for this issue is to run the game with DX 9 instead of DX 11. Instructions on how to turn off DX 11 are listed below.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience with your gameplay experience and thank you all for your patience as we work to resolve this issue.
I'm going to gamble most of our regular users already know how to switch from DX11 to 9, but for anyone who doesn't, just hit this link for the Batman forum run-down.

Anyone else having any issues with the game on PC?

Just cause a game is released on its release date doesn't mean it passed QA. Release date is GOD!

They pushed back the release date so as not to impact on console sales. I don't think they pushed the release date back to deal with technical issues.

So the way to fix the problem is to turn off the biggest reason to own it on PC in the first place. Well done!

Yeah I saw that too and had a good laugh. $100 on steam vs $25 on cd key stores.

$44 on GMG, and I'd imagine if you can't download it through Steam, you should be able to download it through them

can I cite the final release date and all the people complaining about technical issues after this date? If they were choosing to push it back to deal with tech issues it wouldn't be out yet.

so apparently the last code compile for the game was sept 27. so it looks like they did push back release to increase console sales.

I wonder if there was money from the consoles makers to aid this push back?

Holy s*** Hogfather, I don't think there would be a press release of that nature.

Are you serious about always demanding the source for information? or is it like a running joke or something.

If your mates tell you they banged a hot chick on the weekend do you demand proof, source and press releases?

Of course not ... but its reasonable to want some sort of a source / reasoning behind a statement like that.

You on your rags dude?

See? That's what I was after.

Hey guys every time I right click on Batman in the library it doesn't bring up the configure PC settings option, instead all I get the CD key (which is the option below it in the drop down list).

Anyone know of a solution for this?

anyone else having trouble controlling pitch after dive bombing in flight? since mouse controls where you are looking and your pitch its an absolute s*** to see where you are going and pull out of the dive without suddenly rocketing skyward again, when you need to be pulling out level.

Yeah, I'm finding the camera when diving and pulling up to be a pain in the arse. You can't see s***.
