The Rockstar Game Launcher is here, and on PC joins the ever growing list of game launchers we all use - adding one more to the pile. And sure, the last thing we need is a new launcher, but on the bright side this could mean that a Red Dead Redemption II PC release is imminent. Maybe.

As per the announcement the launcher ticks a few of the right boxes - with cloud saves, a storefront, automatic updates, and the ability to play some of the Rockstar Games, err, games out there. On that front there are few notable omissions, in addition to no word on how/if mods will be supported.
PC titles supported via the Rockstar Games Launcher:

  • Grand Theft Auto V
  • Max Payne 3
  • LA Noire
  • Bully: Scholarship Edition
  • Grand Theft Auto III
  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
  • Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
  • LA Noire: The VR Case Files (supported, but not available for purchase via the Rockstar Games Launcher)

PC titles not currently supported via the Rockstar Games Launcher:

  • Grand Theft Auto IV
  • Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City
  • Grand Theft Auto 2
  • Grand Theft Auto
  • Max Payne
  • Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne
  • Manhunt
  • Midnight Club 2

The list of games not supported seems rather large for a Rockstar only launcher, but that begins to make sense if Red Dead Redemption II will release exclusively on the platform. On the plus side, if you download it you get a free copy of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. For the full announcement and links to download the Rockstar Games Launcher - head here.

It's certainly better than having a single launcher only for GTA V.

With every company releasing their own launcher GOG Galaxy 2.0 seems to have come at the perfect time

while GOGs idea of having a launcher which can scan your games from other launchers and putting them into one thing is nice it doesn't solve the problem of the fragmentation. Same thing is happening with streaming. Every c*** company is coming out with their own streaming service and not allowing other streaming services to buy the license to show those shows.

That copy of GTA SA is apparently from a mobile port, your probably better off getting the disc version if you can.

There is also a bug which disables offline mode. https://www.pcgamer.com/au/rockstar-says-grand-theft-auto-5s-offline-mode-was-disabled-by-a-bug-not-the-launcher/
