The upcoming Rocksmith 2014 Edition was already poised to offer a whole bunch of mechanic tweaks and interface improvements that promise to make the guitar-tutoring title more user-friendly than its unsubtitled predecessor, but the latest trailer shows off another perhaps even more significant feature, "session mode".
“Session Mode” is a break through feature in Rocksmith 2014 Edition which allows players to lead their own virtual band! Budding or experienced guitarists can play along with a customised band of up to four instruments, from selection of over 75 in the game. The band reacts to the players’ lead dynamically, increasing and decreasing tempo on their cue. The feature is also available in multiplayer mode, so two players can jam side-by-side and create their own band experience.
THe trailer below demonstrates the session mode feature, showing how the AI band mates can dynamically speed up, slow down, play louder, or softer to more naturally accommodate the jam of a player on guitar or bass, or two players on both.
Rocksmith 2014 Edition is due on October 24 2013 for PC, Mac, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
