Which of course means that players on PlayStation 4 can now finally team up with or play against those playing on PC, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch. Rocket League developer Psyonix made
the announcement today noting that it had entered the PlayStation Cross-Play Beta program. This news comes after Sony recently reversed its stance on PlayStation 4 cross-play - starting with Fortnite.
This is something that Rocket League fans have been waiting for, with the feature being something that has been talked about for a few years now. In terms of cross-play, before today it existed across every platform apart from the PlayStation 4.
Rocket League is also set to get an update that will allow for parties to be formed across platforms. Very cool. And we hope this is something that other developers take on board. Publishers too. Finger crossed we're not that far away from seeing features like this crop up in big third-part multiplayer titles.
