The latest in a succession of promotional crossovers from Devolver Digital puts wisecracking Shadow Warrior protagonist Lo Wang into the recent remake of Rise of the Triad, to accompany the face-paced shooter's v1.3 update. Conversely, RoTT's iconic Excalibat makes its way into Shadow Warrior, which also sees the addition of a new horde-style game mode, titled Endless Surival Mode.
After intense negotiations between developer Flying Wild Hog and publisher Devolver Digital’s shadowy Future Profits Division, the katana-filled and blood-soaked Shadow Warrior has been updated with an all-new and absolutely free Survival Mode. Budding katana masters will be able to slice, shoot, and crash through an incredible onslaught of raging enemies in three custom-built battle arenas in the game’s latest update.
Not content with just one super sweet update, Flying Wild Hog and Devolver Digital have partnered with Interceptor Entertainment and Apogee Software to bring some crossover magic to both Shadow Warrior and Rise of the Triad. Starting today, gamers will be able to use Rise of the Triad’s Excalibat as an alternative katana in Shadow Warrior and in turn step in to the shoes of Shadow Warrior’s Lo Wang in Rise of the Triad’s insane multiplayer modes.
Take a peak at trailers of both offerings below, all of which can be obtained at no extra cost, simply by updating your purchased game, available on Steam, GOG or Humble store.
