Each new patch released for Diablo III proves time and again that Blizzard are still committed to improving and expanding on the frantically fun action-RPG. And with the upcoming Patch 2.4 expect to see new regions to explore, revamped Set Items, new Legendaries, new 'Empowered Rifts', something called 'Set Dungeons', and more stash space! That last bit in particular is definitely welcome news.

Those that know me are aware that Diablo III and me have a long history. And by that I mean that I've played it a lot. And always jump back in whenever there's a new patch. This one in particular seems fairly cool for one reason, that only veteran Deebsy players will understand.

You know the seemingly useless Green Ring set Litany of the Undaunted and The Wailing Host? Well, check out this new bonus for donning the pair.

Deebs4Life

Yep, that seems awesome. And kind of makes a non-set item build possible for higher torments and grifting. In fact it should open up the door to some fairly inventive builds, mixing and matching a number of different brown legs (as long as they're Ancient) for some impressive damage boostery.

Not only that but the new Set Dungeons, which are new static challenges built specifically for all the different Item Sets, sound like a lot of fun. Especially when there's "exclusive rewards by mastering all the sets from one class".

Which again, makes the increased stash space more than welcome. Patch 2.4 will be released across both PC and Console versions of Diablo III and you can check out more details here.

There's a ton of info on 2.4 over at diablofans.com if anyone is interested.
I still play pretty regularly, although I haven't really put much time into s4. The cube has enabled ridiculous builds capable of wrecking face, to the point where high grifts suffer from massive lag when running certain setups.
I dunno if it's because they didn't anticipate such high grift progress so early (in regards to the monster density) or didn't account well enough for all the extra s*** going on the screen with cube buffs, area damage etc.
Interested to see how they tackle those issues.

Last patch was terrible, not expecting anything amazing from this mob and their stupid obsession with sets.

Did you even read the poast!!!! They're specifically creating awesome, powerful non-set builds, porkchop.

Maybe ... playing on console is usually pretty painless even with bazillions of dmg affixes, probably because it doesnt rely on BNet?
Damage numbers
Damage numbers are now truncated to the 2-4 most significant digits and give a suffix
1234,567 becomes 1234k, 123,456,789 becomes 123M, 12,345,678,901 becomes 12B
Additionally, your highest damage values are now colored orange and linger a little longer

THANK YOU SO F*****G MUCH IM CRYING HERE

Yeah I thought 2.3 was tits, and 2.4 is sounding the goods too. the issues only seem to happen in higher grifts hoggy, like 65+ I think, and dependent on your setup. monks are a big prob, and naturally they make up pretty much every group in s4 ;P
But yeah, f*** having to rely on bnet and always online :(

What the heck. I'm reading some of those patch notes. Some of the changes sound ridiculous. There'll surely be some totally OP builds found with these things.

yeh I was the saltiest salt that ever did salt @ d3 and blizzard on and after its release. prolly well documented here >_>

BUT

reapo + 2.3 finally became the game I wanted d3 to be so badly. bitofa shame i had to buy an extra dealy and wait many years tho given the amount of hearthstone and hots i've played for free i'm more ok with it.

either way, I like the way they've been going with the patches and it gives me some hope that the franchise can survive into a 4th iteration one day. so long as jay wilson stays in the naughty corner/wherever the f*** they have him (oh god pls not d4) then the hurt in my butt can continue to lessen as the salt slowly falls out.

Jay Wilson is on WoW now helping make Legion, saw him on one of the WoW panels at Blizzcon

He looks so much older now though, has this huge grizzly adams grey beard.

Edit: Now with more picture
