And motorbike games aren't really 10 cents a dozen (see what I did there, cobbers?). Milestone's long-running dedicated motorbike series has entered its third official phase, with over 230 bikes and a crazy amount of customisation, RIDE 3 has taken the series to a new level.
Here's the official word on the game's November 30 release:
Milestone is proud to announce the launch of RIDE 3, the latest chapter in the franchise dedicated to all motorbike fans. Thanks to Unreal® Engine 4, the game now features many graphics and gameplay enhancements. The Career Mode has been completely overhauled and allows players to progress through the game in the bike categories that best suit their style. There are a huge number of bikes to collect, customize and race on some of the most iconic tracks in the world. RIDE 3 is available from 30th November on PlayStation®4, Xbox One and Steam.
COLLECT. RIDE 3 features more than 230 bikes across 7 categories - Sport Bikes, Maxi Enduro, Supermoto, Naked, Endurance, Race Superbikes, Café Racer. Together, the free and premium post-launch DLC content will add another 70 bikes, for a total of 300 bikes. Once players have created their own unique collection of breathtaking bikes, they can take them for a ride on 30 tracks from the most iconic race tracks in the world to renowned city circuits and breath-taking panoramas.
CUSTOMIZE. RIDE 3 offers more than 500 mechanical customization options for every bike. Combined with the new Livery Editor, this lets players unleash their imagination and create the livery of their dreams. With a host of official manufacturers and aftermarket stickers to choose from, and a layer system that allows any image to be drawn on the bike, the only limit is your creativity! All liveries can be shared with friends and the community to race with, earning extra XP points and in-game credits in the process.
RACE. Thanks to Unreal® Engine 4, the game now features several enhancements to both graphics and gameplay. Using aerial photogrammetry and drone-scanning, the development team has faithfully recreated environments and track details for an extremely immersive game experience. For the first time in the franchise history, you can race at night and enjoy the amazing atmospheres created by the new lighting system. Improvements are not limited to graphics. RIDE 3 has a new physics and collision system that makes the bike behavior and rider AI feel more realistic.
The Career mode has been completely revamped and allows players to progress through the game in the bike categories that best suit their style. The new chapter-based system will allow you to collect and read more than 60 magazines. Each will bring its own unique playing experience, allowing access to many details and anecdotes about the bike world.
