Bethesda gave AusGamers a chance to get hands-on with Wolfenstein: The New Order at both E3 and Gamescom this year, the experience from both of which is compiled in one handy hands-on preview for you today.

While this new Wolfenstein has sparked some dialogue among fans for its lack of a multiplayer mode, developer MachineGames, which is made up of ex-Starbreeze members, has a stronger pedigree in solid single-player design, all of which I'm happy to report has made it through in leaps and bounds with The New Order.

Thank god they don't play multiplayer. Most games don't need it. It's just a waste of time and resources. Why spent all this time on a mode that'll be mostly dead a month after the game comes out.

i would prefer if it shipped with co-op play... online co-op rules.

if it's cheap enough i'd probably play it for a bit of nostalgia.
