As the name suggest Skyblivion is a pretty huge undertaking by some fans to bring Oblivion's entire world and all of its quests into the Skyrim engine. In a new video that showcases some of the work done so far, it looks like they weren't kidding around as everything from the trees, to the armour, to the Ninroot models have been given a makeover to make them more in line with Oblivion. Impressive, most impressive.
2017 is going to be a big year for us as we have started focusing our efforts on quests, scripting, 3D/re-modeling new assets, making an Oblivion inspired user interface and overall improving the aesthetics of a province that was already the most beautiful of any Elder Scrolls game.
We hope to see you all next year as Skyblivion continues to be developed and supported by the amazing Elder Scrolls community. For now this has been an incredible year for everyone involved and we wish you all happy holidays in advance.
Now, as great as this is shaping up to be one of the main problems with Oblivion as a whole was the way in which a large percentage of the world was procedurally generated, meaning that a lot of real-estate between cities and key locations felt a little repetitive. Plus, it was huge. Too big even.
Even so, those Oblivion Elven Ruins! Ahhh, memories.
